We are so grateful and blessed to have hosted our second ABC inc. Fundraiser this past Spring!
As with every event, the organizing committees have a number of things to prepare, including but not limited to, creating and sending out invitations, hosting preparation, snacks and beverages, and most importantly – securing a venue. Although fundraising is certainly time – consuming, it all makes up for it with the Friends we get to see, the new friends we make and the journey we all take together.
Each year brings newfound hope and greater aspirations for us. And this year was particularly special in its own way – We held a FUN and Exciting, Doubles-Round Robin Play at the Westport Tennis Club, in Westport, Connecticut!
After this event, we are reminded that these Special Friendships and Connections are what allow us to take steps forward. The relationships we are growing and the donations of all amounts mean so much to us and help beyond words can say. Friends, we had an amazing time Together! But more than making those joyful memories, we have created hope for a vision that is over a thousand miles away, and One Shot at a time!
As this year comes to a close, we will be helping communities in Zambia by replacing their old and no longer usable Tennis balls with hundreds of new balls. In addition, to help with both on and off-court learning, we will be giving them Ashe learning materials to further their practice and skills!
And remember, it’s Tennis Season! Who knows what the next surprise will be? Stay tuned for some activities here in Westport and Ndola.
